The 2012 Dutch junior National Championships took place in Zoetermeer last week for ages under 11,15,19 years of age. There was many spectacular results throughout the event with great performances by the KEAN sponsored players. Levi Overkleeft missed out by 1 game of reaching the under 11 semi finals but still progressed with a great performance of 5th place.
Akysha Reding age only 12 years of age reached it to the under 15′s final losing in tough 5 set match 8-11 11-8 11-3 10-12 11-7 to Evianne van Leeuwen. Though still very young Akysha kept very composed show alot of experience beyond her years. All viewers enjoyed every moment of the match and was played in a very sportmanslike fashion. However, Akysha will get the chance to perform next month in the girls under 13′s nationals.
Other commending performances came from Neils van Engelsman, Rick Schrijvers van Zenden, Ayk Slettenhaar and Yds Slettenhaar. All players are looking forward to March where they get a another opportunity to show their squash talent on court in the Dutch Nationals under 13,15,17 and 23 years of age.
